Hydrofoam Polyurethane Crack Injection

Our product of choice for Kansas City foundation and basement crack repair is an injection from the inside with a flexible Polyurethane product. We use a product manufactured by the company Polygem, Inc. called Hydrofoam. The advantage to the flexible material is that if your wall and the crack continue to move, this product will move with it up to 1/16” . We have a 2 year warranty on all Hydrofoam crack injections.

Epoxy Injections

Epoxy adds strength to your wall. Often times epoxy will be recommended by a structural engineer for Kansas City foundation and basement crack repair. We use the Polygem Maximum Penetrating Injection Epoxy # 1001. This type of epoxy comes in 4 different viscosity depending on the width of the crack.

Outside Crack Repairs

We can repair the crack from the outside with several different available products that would depend on the situation. We first expose the crack and clean the wall. We then seal the crack with Tremco’s TremProof 201/60 heavy duty waterproofing. It is a liquid that dries to a 60 mil sheet of rubber. We also will use a peel and stick waterproofing membrane such as Bituthene 3000 or Polyguard 650 Membrane. Once the crack is successfully sealed we need to insure good drainage around the crack. We will fill the excavation cavity with gravel and a drain tile pipe allowing drainage to your footing & drain tile system. (if the home has a drain tile system)
