Does Waterproofing a Basement Add Value?

We mainly serve new home builders, and here in Kansas City we still see about 50% dampproofing with no elasticity and no warranty, and 50% waterproofing with a 10 year warranty. However, when a homeowner is building their own home they almost 100% of the time chose the better product.

I think it is sometimes tough for a builder to get value out of the black stuff that’s sprayed on and buried, but on their own home, they would absolutely chose waterproofing.
