“During some recent heavy rainfall my Leawood basement flooded with several inches of water. Gordon Energy came to the rescue. I researched them on the internet and found good reviews and their history to be unblemished. I was extremely impressed with the expertise of both the initial evaluator and installation crew. Gordon Energy broke out my basement floor and installed the channel track system & drainage pipe connecting to my existing sump pit, installed drainage pipes in my window wells, a battery backup sump pump and repaired 2 foundation cracks that were leaking. “We recently experienced a basement full of water & were getting estimates from $10-20k for outside drains and much more for inside drains to fix the problem. There was one other bid for $1,500.00, I believe, for an additional sump pump. One other guy told us all we needed was a couple truckloads of dirt and he’d do that for us for $1,200.00. Anyway, to make a long story short, Jim May from your company came out to give us a bid also. Not only was he professional, honest, patient, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous, but he also took the time to answer all my questions (which there were many), and explained in detail everything that needed to be done. He said he wanted to drill a few holes to see what was going on underneath the basement, which he did. He came back the next day to look & there was definitely water standing under the basement floor. He then drilled some holes inside the sump pump enclosure. There was some blockage which he determined that there was concrete in the way so that the water wasn’t getting to the sump pump properly. Bottom line, he jack hammered in front of the sump pump, loosened up the concrete there, put in another pipe and some gravel and then covered it back up w/concrete. The total bill was much less than the other bids we had gotten & we were tickled pink about it. Granted we haven’t had the amounts of rain that we had b/4 this happened, but we have had some & haven’t had any water in our basement. We do realize that this isn’t a guaranteed fix, but it was worth a try to us because it could be the answer and we will have saved thousands. Please tell Jim thanks again for us. He’s definitely an asset to your company & I will recommend you all to everyone I know. It’s so nice to know that there are still honest, reliable companies out there that care about people & not just making a buck.”
“We are extremely pleased with the work Gordon Energy did for us. For many years, we have had a problem with water standing on the side of our house and leaking into the basement after heavy rains. We also had a large crack in the foundation on the other side of the house. We contacted Gordon to see if a French drain would help with our problem and to see what they recommended regarding the crack. Randy came out (on the date and time agreed) and looked over our situation. We were very impressed with Randy—there was no sales pitch”. He listened to our story and our ideas and made suggestions for how we could improve our situation. He emailed us a quote on the following day. The workmen showed up on time on the date scheduled and completed the work in 1-1/2 days. They cleaned up very well after the work and replaced our sod and replanted flowers that they had to dig up. In fact, you can hardly tell where they dug up the yard to place the drain. They routed the downspouts on that side of the house underground so we could get rid of the ugly extensions we were using to try to divert the water. They also repaired the basement crack and one in the garage. These were repaired from the inside by injection so there was no need to dig up the foundation. Even though there is no guarantee that the drain will cure our water problem, Gordon did the work they promised to do in a prompt and courteous manner. If we need to have further work, such as a sump installed, we will definitely call Gordon Energy. In fact, we will be calling them soon regarding our attic fan. By the way, we did contact two other companies. One company never returned our calls. The other company made an appointment with us but no one showed up, nor did they call to apologize or reset the appointment.”
