French Drains

If you have an area in your yard that holds water for many days after a rain, you may opt to install a French Drain.

French Drains are a trench system that is dug in the middle or along the wet area of a yard – filled with a perforated drain tile pipe & gravel. The concept is to create a “sponge” that can collect water and take it to a different place to drain. In some cases, a “catch basin” in the wettest areas to allow for the water to enter the French Drain quickly from the surface.
